11th Annual Charity Event Raises Money for Breast Cancer Survivors

DULUTH, Minn. – Northlanders went bowling to beat breast cancer in Duluth.

In the past ten years, the charity event has raised more than $140,000 for breast cancer survivors.

Each survivor is given the book “Chicken Soup for the Breast Cancer Survivor’s Soul.” The money is also buys them grocery cards, gas cards, and chemo bags.

“Everybody knows somebody that breast cancer has affected in their life either personally, friends, family,” said event organizer Barb Hoag. “Someone knows someone that’s a survivor.”

Bowling to Beat Breast Cancer continues Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. at Country Lanes North in Duluth.
