Limitless Candles Prepares Young Adults for Work

A new Life House program helps young adults prepare for work.

DULUTH, Minn.- Life House is launching a new social enterprise business, through its in house job training the Legitimate Hustle Program.

The project, Limitless Candles, gives young adults an opportunity to create business models and learn soft business skills. Around 26 youth click in 10 hours a week, making candles out of bees wax.

“The youth are the ones really driving the program,” program manager Luke Morcomb said. “They are the ones that decided we would make candles, they are the ones that decided we would make bees wax candles. So just being youth lead gives youth the opportunity to be creative and try new things.”

This specific business model is eco-friendly. They also make fire-starters for camp-fires from the waste. Tuesday products will be sold to the public from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Zeitgeist Art Building.
