Superior Farmers Market Closes for Season

Superior's Downtown Farmers Market closes for the winter season.

SUPERIOR, Wis.- Today was the final day of the season for the Superior Downtown Farmers Market.

This summer the market moved to Banks Avenue due to road construction at the previous location. Thanks to Northlanders shopping local it was still another successful season for the market.

“They are incredibly supportive; they are complimentary about the produce farmers bring, complimentary about all of the products that are at the market,” market manager Sue Dumbke said. “There’s just no way you can do a farmers market without community support.”

Shopping at the market supports goods directly from the Douglas County Area. The last chance to visit vendors is Saturday, Oct. 28th at the Barker’s Island Farmers Market.
