St. Luke’s Honored with American Heart Association Awards

Hospital Has Received Awards Four Consecutive Years

DULUTH, Minn. – St. Luke’s Hospital was honored with awards from the American Heart Association recognizing their quality care for heart attack and stroke patients.

The hospital held a presentation and luncheon today to thank the members of their cardiac team.

“To recognize them and recognize their efforts and dedication to their craft and how good they are at it is a nice moment for them, a proud moment for us that we continue to work and it shows that what they’re doing is important and they’re excellent at it,” said Dr. Scott Mikesell, Cardiac Catheterization Lab Director.

“These are time critical diagnoses where our patient’s lives are in danger and to have a system recognized for the efforts that our team makes on a daily basis is quite the honor.”

This was the fourth consecutive year St. Luke’s received American Heart Association awards.
