The 2017 Community Christmas Tree Has Arrived

The Tree Will Be Lit Up On Nov. 17

DULUTH, Minn. – It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas after Minnesota Power delivered the 2017 Community Christmas Tree to the plaza in downtown Duluth.

It’s a 33-year-old tradition for the city and the White Spruce tree is about 45 feet tall.

The tree will be decorated with thousands of LED Christmas lights just in time for the Christmas City of the North Parade.

After the display the tree is recycled for fuel.

Twenty-six nominations from the community were received for the tree selection.
