Duluth Seeking Volunteers for Beach Clean-Up Nov. 12

DULUTH, Minn. – The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation department is organizing a beach clean-up on Sunday, Nov. 12 from 10-11:30 a.m.

The effort is to help maintain and care for the beach areas following the devastating storm surge on Oct. 27.

With the large amount of debris that washed ashore, clean up efforts will be focused on the beach near the Park Point Beach House, 12th Street access to Park Point, the beach area by Endion Station, and Brighton Beach.

Those interested in volunteer can register at duluthmn.gov/parks/volunteer

Participants can check in with city staff at any of the four locations to obtain supplies and general instructions.
