Final Preparations Underway for Bentleyville Tour of Lights
Northlander volunteers play a large role in getting Bentleyville up and running.
DULUTH, Minn.-Bentleyville will be open in just six days, last minute preparations are currently underway.
Many Northlanders have lent a hand setting up Bentleyville, now its the final count down till the holiday lights flick on. The helpers still out preparing the final details have special skill sets, necessary to get the park up and running. This year there are plenty of new attractions thanks to a big donation from the cities.
“Macy’s down in the cities when they closed, donated about five semi–trailers of animation and decorations to Bentleyville that was built for indoor use,” organizer Nathan Bentley said. “So we had to figure out how we could use it outdoors.”
Volunteers of all ages make Bentleyville happen. The helping hands these last couple of days are crucial to keeping Bentleyville traditions alive.
“It’s kind of exciting to help out,” volunteer Emmagin Carmen said.
This coming Friday Bentleyville will be fully lit and open to the public. In order to operate every night, the event requires 65 volunteers. To sign up visit Volunteer Bentleyville.
