Duluth Police Search for Robbery Suspect

The Robbery Happened in the Parking Lot in the 600 Block of West Central Entrance

DULUTH, Minn. – Duluth Police continue to search for a robbery suspect Monday afternoon.

Shortly before 11:00 a.m., police responded to Cub Foods located in the 600 Block of West Central Entrance on reports of a robbery in their parking lot. It has been reported by police that the victim was making a deposit for his employer when he was robbed.

Authorities say the suspect is believed to be a male wearing all dark colored clothing and a high visibility yellow traffic vest.

They say the suspect was last seen in the area of Myrtle Street and Robin Avenue behind the Cub Foods Store.

The Duluth PD is asking residents of the Duluth Heights neighborhood to behind Cub to search their property for evidence related to the crime. Items include blue bank bags, gloves, traffic vests, or dark colored masks. Anyone with information or who locates items is asked to call the Duluth Police Violent Crimes Unit at (218) 730-5050.

Authorities believe the assailant sprayed the victim with a chemical irritant.

Duluth Police are actively investigating and will provide updates when available.
