Shelters Team Up For Annual “Love A Pet” Adoption Event

The Adoption Event is Happening Saturday, November 18 and Sunday, November 19

DULUTH, Minn. – Northlanders have the chance to “Love a Pet” this weekend at Miller Hill Subaru.

Happening Saturday, November 18 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 19 from 11:00 a.m. until 3 p.m., three local shelters will come together for the Northland’s biggest adoption event of the year.

Star of the North Shelter in Grand Rapids, Lake County Humane Society in Two Harbors and Animal Allies Humane Society in Duluth will join forces at Miller Hill Subaru in Duluth for the annual event.

Animals will be adopted out at a discounted rate.

Animal Allies will offer free cats if they are one year of age or older.

Last year, roughly 70 animals found homes during the two-day event. Organizers hope to adopt out more than 100 animals this year.

Free microchip and registration will be available.

Your animal can also have a photo taken with Santa on site. All proceeds from the photos with Santa will benefit Animal Allies Humane Society.
