Police Pursuit in Cloquet Ends in Drug Arrest

CLOQUET, Minn. – Cloquet Police have arrested a 47-year-old male after attempting to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle related to a drug investigation.

Cloquet PD reports that a Carlton County Deputy attempted to stop the vehicle of an adult male who had been transporting large quantities of meth and heroin into the city.

The driver of the vehicle refused to stop resulting in a short pursuit, which ended when the vehicle left the roadway, according to police.

The man was arrested and investigators and a K9 recovered 44 grams of meth and 26 grams of heroin.

The man is awaiting charges for 1st Degree Possession of Meth, 1st Degree Possession of Heroin, Fleeing in a Motor Vehicle, and Driving after Revocation.
