Duluth Tackles Budget Issues Tonight

Council Could Come Up With Budget That Will Help Fix Roads

DULUTH, Minn.-Tonight, the Duluth City Council will weigh different options on how to handle next year’s budget.

There are talks of raising property taxes where a homeowner will see a $30 increase on an average Duluth home.

If passed, the levy could help fill a budget gap which could reduce cuts to city staffing from the police department and parks and recreation. It could also add in funds to improve maintenance of Duluth streets.
