Traffic Stop in Lenroot Leads to Meth Bust

LENROOT, Wis. – According to the Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office, deputies made a traffic stop of a vehicle on Company Lake Road in the Town of Lenroot just after 2:00 a.m. on Dec. 14.

The traffic stop was conducted as a result of an investigation into the sale and distribution of meth in Sawyer County. K-9 Officer Oscar did a search of the car and found a positive hit in the dashboard area of the vehicle. Methamphetamine was located within.

As a result a search warrant was executed at a residence in the Town of Hunter. Investigators recovered 62,7 grams of meth, a digital scale, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.

As a result, two males and one female were arrested.

Koutkeo Lovan, 40 has been charged with Possession of over 50 Grams of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, Felony Bail Jumping, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. James A Valentin, 51, has been charged with Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Elizabeth Reed, 24, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
