Sea Smoke Appears Over Lake Superior

TWO HARBORS, Minn. – Mother Nature is putting on a show in Minnesota.

Sea smoke was seen rising over Lake Superior on Christmas Day.

Sea smoke, also called steam fog or frost smoke, appears when really cold air slides over a warmer expanse of water.

Lake Superior’s temperature was about 35 degrees and the air temperature was 9 below zero when this video was taken.
