DULUTH, Minn. – A University of Minnesota-Duluth Theatre production is being honored in a big way.

The department has been invited to perform “Antigone” at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in Des Moines, IA.

This is one of only seven productions selected to perform in the festival.

The play was chosen from hundreds around the region.

UMD Theatre is hosting two encore performances of this show before they head to the regional festival.

Those performances will be Friday, January 12 and Saturday, January 13.

Both will be at 7:30 p.m. in the Dudley Experimental Theatre at the Marshall Performing Arts Center.

Tickets are available online at tickets.umn.edu or by calling 218–726–8561.

Prices are $30 for adults and $15 for Students.

Minnesota Representative Jennifer Schultz is confirmed for a talkback on Saturday.

This will immediately follow Saturday night’s encore performance of  Antigone.

The talkback discussion will open the audience up to ask questions and talk about how “Antigone” reflects the current political climate of 2018.
