City Seeking Developers For Land In Gary New Duluth

The lots are located at the 1100 block of U.S. Highway 23 at McGonagle Street.

DULUTH, Minn. – The city of Duluth is planning to redevelop some tax forfeited land to increase housing around the city.

The 13 lots are located in Gary New Duluth and equal almost one acre of undeveloped land.

The city is looking for developers to get creative and see what they can come up with for these lots.

The goal is to get the site back in use because of its development potential.

“We’re open to whether it’s single family homes, townhomes, a smaller apartment building or even some mixed use type of development,” said City Senior Planner Ben VanTassel. “We would be open to considering, but first and foremost it would have to be appropriate for that neighborhood.”

The 13 lots are valued at $4,000 dollars each for a total of $52,000.
