Organists Perform Free Recitals in Duluth Through March

Annual Lenten Midday Organ Recital Series

DULUTH, Minn. – This week a series of organ recitals is beginning in Duluth.

The performances will last through Lent.

The Lenten Midday Organ Recital Series, sponsored by the Arrowhead Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, offers free half hours recitals Wednesdays, 12:15 – 12:45 p.m. at various locations in Duluth.

A free-will offering will be received at each recital to benefit the Arrowhead Chapter’s Organ Scholarship Fund.

  • February 21: Thomas Hamilton, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1710 E. Superior St., Duluth.
  • February 28: Rachael Kresha, Pilgrim United Church of Christ, 2310 E. Fourth St., Duluth.
  • March 7: Karen Hanson Sande, First Lutheran Church, 1100 E. Superior St., Duluth.
  • March 14: Parker Hinnenkamp, First United Methodist Church Chapel, 230 E. Skyline Parkway, Duluth.
  • March 21: David Tryggestad, Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary, 2801 E. Fourth St., Duluth.
  • March 28: Samuel Black, Duluth Masonic Center, 4 W. Second St., Duluth.
