Nashwauk Police Investigate Possible Student Threats

Nashwauk Police have ended investigation

NASHWAUK, Minn. – The City of Nashwauk Police Department has completed an investigation into possible threats made by “a few students” in the Nashwauk-Keewatin School District.

The police department and School District state that because this situation involves juveniles the details involving the threats and identities of the students will not be discussed.

However, a Facebook post made by the Nashwauk-Keewatin School District states, “Threats were first overheard on a school bus, and then posted on social media. There are no credible or authentic threats to the safety of our schools. Disciplinary action has been taken where it is justified.”

Chief Maddern wants to ensure parents and citizens that the situation has been dealt with swiftly and any future threats will also be handled promptly in the same manner.
