Bayfront Warming House Closes for the Season

DULUTH, Minn. — The Bayfront Family Center Warming House is closed for the season.

This is the first time in 5 years the warming house and rink has been able to stay open into March.

The cold temperatures through January and February made for optimum ice making conditions for Duluth Parks Maintenance staff.


The public has enjoyed free use of ice skates, snow shoes, cross country skis, sleds and snow art supplies this winter season provided by the Parks and Recreation staff.

Future information on summer recreation activities and programs at the Bayfront Family Center will be announces in the coming months.
