Nearly Naked Ruck March is now Taking Registrations

Local Nonprofit Supports Veterans in their Transition to Civilian Life

DULUTH, Minn. – At the end of March, hundreds will be marching along Duluth’s lakewalk to support veterans on their path to finding happiness.

The Nearly Naked Ruck March, supporting 23rd Veteran, is taking place on Saturday, March 31 at 10 a.m.

Participants will be hiking 10 miles in long underwear, carrying a weighted pack.

The weight in each pack equals one pound for every $10 raised for 23rd Veteran. The weight inside the pack represents the combat stress veterans deal with and their battle against it.

All money raised through the fundraising portion of this march goes to 23rd Veteran which is a nonprofit creating a long-term transition for veterans.

The night before the march, Madison Rising will host a concert at Grandma’s Sports Garden.

At that event, there will also be a silent auction and a free pizza buffet.

The event kicks off at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 30. Madison Rising takes the stage at 7 p.m.

To register for the march, or learn more about 23rd Veteran, head to www.23rdveteran.org.
