‘Snowmobile Meltdown’ Raises Funds for Spirit Mountain Ski Patrol

Vintage Sleds Raced at the Second Annual Event

DULUTH, Minn. – Vintage snowmobiles raced on the trails of Spirit Mountain Ski Resort in Duluth.

The second annual Snowmobile Meltdown is a fundraiser for the resort’s ski patrol.

Last year, the event raise about $1,200 and this year they’re hoping for more to fund the patrol’s CPR and Outdoor Emergency Care training.

“Anybody that gets injured, we’re their first response,” said Cindy Cerio of the ski patrol. “We get them triaged and we get them to safety, we get them to the hospital or wherever they need to go.”

The event included races, a swap meet, and snowmobile show.
