Group Prepares for President Trump’s Visit to Duluth

Forward Coalition is helping Duluth organizations plan peaceful demonstrations

DULUTH, Minn. – To prepare for President Trump’s visit, a group of Duluthians are helping organizations plan peaceful demonstrations in reaction to his presence.

They call themselves “Forward Coalition” and are making banners tonight to promote what they call “Duluth Values.”

They do not support the president’s actions.

“As a coalition what we’re interested in is not protesting Trump and feeding his ego, but lifting the value of our community as he visits,” said Joel Kilgore, a member of the group.

About 100 people came out to St. Paul’s Church in Duluth for the organizing meeting. They say they hope all area protests stay positive.
