Lady ‘Jackets Basketball Team Host Youth Camp

The UWS women's basketball team hosted their second youth camp this summer.

SUPERIOR, Wisc. – One of the best women’s basketball programs in Division III is sharing their knowledge of the game with local youth players.

The UWS women’s basketball team hosted their second youth camp of the summer. The focus of this camp is to get the girls familiar with the terminology used on the court, as well as perfecting things like shooting form and dribbling.

“There’s a lot of reasons why people run camps. It can be a money–maker to some. It can be an act of service to the community. And that’s kind of what we’re doing it for. We’re just doing it to get a basketball in their hand. That’s all we want and our players get to be out there and meet some of the younger kids. Now the kids say ‘We can’t wait to come to your guys’ game in the winter’,” head coach Zach Otto–Fisher said.
