Knowing Your Neighbors: B&B Market
The mom-and-pop market has been passed down through the generations for the past 50 years.
CLOQUET, Minn. – One Cloquet family has continued to pass down their business for generations.
B&B Market has been in operation selling meats and cheeses for over 50 years. As they’ve passed the business down the family, they’ve also started to expand, now offering a catering service and traveling to different events on their food truck.
“There wasn’t really a niche for it in town here and it just kind of took off,” son of the current owners and assistant manager Nick Lind said of expanding to catering.
Nick’s parents took the business over from their parents and they hope to keep it in the family for as long as possible, as they feel the special bond of getting to work on this project together.
“It’s just really neat. It’s something that you don’t see as much anymore. I mean, nowadays, there’s not as many mom and pop shops,” Nick said.
The family sells various types of meats and cheeses at both their market and in the food truck, including hot dogs, burgers, pork chops, steak, brats and much more.
