Old Target a Target Location for Ravin Crossbows
Bow and Arrow Manufacturer Expands to the Vacant Superior Building
SUPERIOR, Wis.- One of Superior’s most visible vacant buildings will soon fill up. Plans have now been made for the former target in superior that closed in 2016.
The old Red Dot will now be the “target” of a young bow and arrow manufacturer, Ravin Crossbows, who is set to move in to the former store at the end of the year.
Ravin Crossbows has been bringing its handmade, tech–savy crossbows to the market for only two years at the Mariner Mall.
The company’s experienced some growing pains over the past few years; now they need more space for their 125 employees and diverse customer base, shipping as far as Europe, Canada, and Africa.
“As an American manufacturer, United States manufacturer, for us to be competitive in the global marketplace we need to be as efficient as we can be to compete,” said Director of Operations Kyle Campbell.
Getting bigger isn’t the only change Ravin has been going through. Last week employees learned that the business was sold to Velocity Outdoor Inc, joining their family which includes Crosman, Benjamin Airguns, and Centerpoint Archery.
According to Velocity, Ravin Crossbows had a net revenue of about $46 million from June 30th of last year to June 30th of this year.
By moving into the former Target, it seems Ravin Crossbows is aiming to be a prime target for Northland archers.
