Inside Look at UMD’s Media Technology Lab

DULUTH, Minn.- The University of Minnesota Duluth is showing off their state of the art media technology lab.

From the green screen to virtual reality this MMAD lab is utilized by everyone from theatre majors to researchers.

The director tells us the resources are meant to spark the student’s creativity.

“Nobody else in Hollywood is doing what we are, because we’re from the North we do our own thing up here,” director Lisa Fitzpatrick said.

The lab opened in 2015 but is geared for the future and constantly updating its technology.
