Volunteers Begin Setting Up Bentleyville

The Tour of Lights runs from Nov. 17 to Dec. 26.

DULUTH, Minn. – While Bentleyville is still two months away, volunteers are already busy getting ready for the
“Tour of Lights”.

Almost 140 people helped with the first weekend of setup for Bentleyville, which takes place at Bayfront Park. It’s billed as America’s Largest free walk through lighting display, so as many volunteers as possible are needed to make the event happen.

“This park is almost 21 acres and we have thousands and thousands of feet of tunnels to put up, we have five million lights to put up, structures to build, Santa Claus gets renovated ever year, there’s just, it doesn’t end with the amount of projects we have going on,” executive director Nathan Bentley said.

Bentleyville setup is every Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8, and Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you want to help, just show up at Bayfront Park.
