Apparel Being Sold in K-9 Officer Haas’ Memory

Advantage Emblem and Screen Printing has teamed up with the Duluth Police Department to print K-9 Officer Haas t-shirts to benefit Northland K-9 Foundation.

DULUTH, Minn. – As the Northland continues to process the loss of K-9 Officer Haas, one local business is making shirts and sweatshirts in his memory.

Advantage Emblem and Screen Printing has teamed up with the Duluth Police Department to print K-9 Officer Haas t-shirts with all proceeds going to the Northland K-9 Foundation.

The creation of memorial shirts is customary for any officer slain in the line of duty, and Northland K-9 Foundation will benefit by using the proceeds to help further train K-9 officers.

“I definitely love supporting the community and giving back, I was raised to do that it’s really important and K–9 has was a big part of the police department and obviously had a huge impact on the community,” said Aryanah Bentley, the regional sales executive at Advantage Emblem.

The Duluth Police Department says the public’s support has been overwhelming since Haas was killed while helping his handler during a domestic assault call last month.

“It means a lot to all of us to know that that support is out there because in this day and age it doesn’t always feel that way. Being able to see Haas’s face out there is going to be great for us,” said Officer Taylor Stutsman of the Duluth Police Department.
