Local Organizations Honored During Special Lunch

Multiple Northland organizations were honored today for all the work they do in the community during the Local Initiatives Support Corporation's Luncheon at the DECC.

DULUTH, Minn.-Multiple Northland organizations were honored today for all the work they do in the community during the Local Initiatives Support Corporation’s Luncheon at the DECC, which included a keynote address from the governor.

Those honored included multiple affordable housing groups, which Duluth leadership say are vital to the Northland’s growth.

“It’s so great as a mayor to know that there are all of these organizations that are deeply committed, not just to our residents, but building that infrastructure to support people,” said Duluth Mayor Emily Larson.

Other awards were handed out to groups like Ecolbrium 3 and Zeitgeist for the Arts, for their work in the Lincoln Park and Hillside neighborhoods.
