Prep Softball: Hilltoppers, Spartans Win Big; Greyhounds Fall at Home

Mady Stariha threw a perfect game, her third no-hitter of the season, as Superior defeated Duluth Denfeld 10-0.

DULUTH, Minn. – Mady Stariha threw a perfect game, her second of the year and third no-hitter, while striking out eight as Superior defeated Duluth Denfeld 10-0 in five innings.

The Spartans scored four in the second and five in the third to get the win. Ruby Moore went 2-for-2 with two runs scored Autumn Siers, Stariha, McKenzie Lehto and Hailee Melgeorge each drove in two runs.

In other softball action, Duluth Marshall softball got a big win on senior day, shutting out Ashland 10-0 in five innings, while Bemidji swept a doubleheader against Duluth East 7-3 and 11-1.
