Hibbing Native Deion Harris Signs with Washington Redskins

Harris took part in rookie mini-camp with the Green Bay Packers before ultimately signing with Washington.

HIBBING, Minn. – A recent study showed that 0.08 percent of high school football players go on to play in the NFL. For a former Northland football player, he has beat the odds in order to achieve his dreams.

Earlier this week, the Washington Redskins announced that they have signed Hibbing native Deion Harris as an undrafted free agent. Harris played his college ball at North Dakota, quickly becoming one of the top cornerbacks in the entire country. In his junior year in 2016, he earned Second Team All-American honors from the American Football Coaches Association.

Harris also took part in rookie mini-camp with the Green Bay Packers before ultimately signing with Washington.
