Superior Council for the Arts to Host First Annual “Arts Sampler”

The Superior Art Sampler is Happening Friday, May 17, 2019

SUPERIOR, Wis. – The Superior Council for the Arts along with the Department of Communicating Arts, Music and Art at UWS invite you to attend the first “Superior Arts Sampler.”

The colorful event is happening Friday, May 17 from 4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the Holden Fine Arts Building on the campus of UW-Superior.

Carolyn Nelson Kavajecz with the Superior Council for the Arts says this is the perfect opportunity to sample all of the different artistic flavors available in Douglas County.

The event includes Kruk gallery tours plus senior Art student shows, UWS Music students performing in the Webb recital Hall, UW-S Fine Arts student showcases, a performance by Sterling Silver Studio, local artist exhibits, hands on art activities to participate in, complimentary desserts and beverages and the annual video showcase by UW-Superior video students.

Food will be on site thanks to “The Rambler” food truck.

This event is the kick-off for the Superior Council for the Arts Grant program.

Two $500 artist grants will be awarded to Douglass County Artists.
