PINE COUNTY, Minn. – The Pine County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a stolen dump truck.

According to the Minnesota BCA, Pine County Deputies were called to a Shafer Contracting construction site on reports of a vehicle prowl Monday evening.

Authorities say an employee reported one of the dump trucks had been moved and tools and equipment had been rummaged through.

Another employee contacted the Sheriff’s Office again on Tuesday morning when the employee realized a 2005 Sterling dump truck, with MN License Plate YAV1090, was missing from the construction site.

A witness told officers the truck was seen leaving the site heading westbound on State Highway 70 from I35 around 8:30 p.m. on Monday.

The dump truck is described as having a red cab, yellow/orange dump box with dried cement possibly stuck on the rear of the box, and the Shafer Contracting logo on the cab doors.

Anyone with information regarding the current location or sighting of the dump truck is asked to contact the Pine County Sheriff’s Office at 320-629-8380.
