Two Arrested After Duluth Drug Bust

DULUTH, Minn. – Duluth Police say two people were arrested after investigators seized methamphetamine during a search warrant on July 24.

Investigators with the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force conducted the search warrant on the 200 Block of East 2nd Street around 12:20 p.m. July 24.

During the search officers seized methamphetamine, a digital scale, drug packaging, and a stun gun.

Authorities arrested Jamie Philanders McNeary, 50, and Darcy Lynn Maddox, 64, as a result of the search.

McNeary was formally charged for Second Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance in a Public Housing Zone. Bail has been set at $150,000.

Maddox was formally charged for Aid and Abet Second Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance in a Public Housing Zone and Felony Possession by a Prohibited Person of a Stun Gun.

Police say McNeary also had two active felony warrants for Violation of Supervised Release, Third Degree Murder and Violation of Supervised Release Fifth Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance at this time of his arrest.
