Vandals Strike Two Harbors Golf Course

Two Harbors, MN – The Lakeview National Golf Course received damage to two greens, a bunker and six golf carts are now out of commission.

There are no estimates on the costs of the damages.

Although the greens will take awhile to repair, managers say the golf cars received significant damage affecting their suspension.

“Most of them look like the tie rods in the front are broken so you can’t steer them anymore. So we rent the carts, we’ll have to send them back to the rental company and get them fixed which I’m sure will cost a pretty penny,” General Manager, Ian Guzzo says.

The Two Harbors Police Department is currently investigating the incident, and has given managers some advice on how to take extra precaution.

“They advised us to put up some cameras. They also advised us to maybe go to a hardware store, get some cable and a monster lock so they can’t take them,” Golf Course Superintendent, Nathan Beckman says.

The course is still open to the public, and managers say the damage hasn’t stopped any area golfers from hitting the links.
