Pumpkins Are Ready At Farmer Doug’s
Farmer Doug has over a thousand pumpkins for people to choose from
DULUTH, Minn.- It’s been a tough season for some pumpkin farmers in Minnesota because of wet weather during the planting season, according to the owner of Farmer Doug’s in Duluth.
But, Farmer Doug himself tells us his crop is doing just fine with more than 1,000 pumpkins ready to be picked right now, and he believes nothing compares to getting that farm experience.
“As our generations get further and further, my age everyone had a grandpa on the farm, your age, very few do. And so they don’t really know what that is like or where their food comes from. And so to make my farm, their farm, your farm that’s my purpose is try to keep people connected to the food”, said Doug.
This Saturday and Sunday, Farmer Doug’s is throwing a ‘Pick-Your-Own Pumpkin’ event from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
