Collection Week Begins For “Operation Christmas Child”

DULUTH, Minn. – The annual “Operation Christmas Child” is now underway in the Northland.

Volunteers were hard at work boxing up shoe boxes full of toys this afternoon at the Mount of Olives Baptist Church.

Once boxed, the packages will be shipped down to Minneapolis for processing.

From there, the toys will be sent to children all across the world.

“We gather about 5,000 to 6,000 a year. It will give a child say in Africa something they enjoy and something they wouldn’t never normally have got,” Volunteer, William Belcher says.

Toys can be dropped off up until Monday November 25th.
