DULUTH, Minn. – Staffing changes are coming to Duluth City Hall.
City Clerk Chelsea Helmer will be promoted to Director of Administrative Services pending council approval.
In her new role, Helmer would oversee the City Clerk’s office, IT, and Human Resources.
“I think the benefit of this new department is these three divisions have the common element of we provide a lot of internal services so a lot of internal focus for our employees,” said Helmer.
As part of the change, Director of Public Administration, Jim Filby Williams, will be put in charge of the new Department of Parks, Libraries, and Properties.
The city council is expected to vote on the staff changes Monday.
