Mail And Package Carriers Are Catching Up on Deliveries

The holiday shipping season is even shorter this year since Thanksgiving fell later on in the month.

DULUTH, Wis. – After winter hit the Northland pretty hard mail and package carriers are busy catching up on deliveries.

Staff at The Mail Room on London Road says after the recent snowfalls, the U.S. Postal Service, Fedex and UPS were delayed making deliveries.

Now that the carriers have finally been able to get through town things are starting to pick back up.

The Mail Room staff also say they want to remind people if they want their Christmas gifts to arrive on time, they need to get a head start.

“Ship it early. Fedex and UPS give us deadlines on when they can make the Christmas deadline. So get there early and ship it early,” said Rex Hein.

Another reminder, the holiday shipping season is even shorter this year since Thanksgiving fell later on in the month.
