Stella Maris Academy Receives Large Donation

DULUTH, Minn. – Stella Maris in Duluth received a big donation recently.

On Thursday, the academy announced it had received a $250,000 donation.

A large percentage of their funds come from the parish and community support.

Staff are grateful for the gift, and say it will help them continue providing quality education for children.

“This gift helps us reach our operational needs for the year. And it allows us to continue to advance our work towards advancing the catholic liberal arts curriculum in the Stella Maris community,” Stella Maris Academy President, Hilaire Hauer says.

Catholic schooling has been around in Duluth for 140 years.
