‘At Sara’s Table’ Among Duluth Businesses Requiring Customers to Wear Masks

Duluth City Council expected to take up mask ordinance on July 13th

DULUTH, Minn. – The Duluth City Council is expected to vote on requiring masks in some indoor public places on July 13th, but some local businesses have required mask-wearing for weeks.

At Sara’s Table Chester Creek Cafe tells us many customers have been happy with the restaurant’s mask requirement, but it has upset some.

Staff say the cafe-goers do not have to wear masks when eating, but they are required to be worn while walking through the building, making a reservation, picking up food, and when servers get close to the table.

“We do have a population that work in the restaurant and that come into the restaurant that are vulnerable and for us as a requirement and to help people feel more comfortable to come back to work, face masks are important,” explained At Sara’s Table front-of-house manager Carey Kasapidis.

The restaurant is open for inside and outside dining and for pick-up through a drive-thru system.
