Superior Trailblazers Pool League Hosts All-Star Pool Match

The league has about 200 players, but this action features the top eight in a four-on-four showdown.

SUPERIOR, Wis. – The Superior Trailblazers Pool League hosted their first-ever all-star match Tuesday night at the Top Hat Tavern in Superior.

The league has about 200 players, but this action features the top eight in a four-on-four showdown. The event was originally scheduled for back in April, but was postponed a few times due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“We needed this event right now. I think a lot of people do, to just kind of take their minds of things. And that’s one of the main reasons why we didn’t want to cancel it. We just kept postponing and postponing until we felt comfortable enough having the event. We’re just here to have a good time and celebrate with the game we love to play,” said league director Nick Olson.

Team Wasserman won the match in Sudden Death Overtime as the teams were tied 2.5 to 2.5 after regulation. Mike Walkowiak broke and ran the table for a 10-0 victory to win the match.
