National Dog Day Celebrated In The Northland

DULUTH, Minn. – National Dog Day might be the perfect day to show your dog a little extra love.

The honorary day pays homage to all breeds and encourages dog ownership.

One place you might be able to find the perfect treat to celebrate is at Matilda’s Dog Bakery and Boutique.

The owner believes national dog day is a little more special this year while the pandemic continues.

“I think it’s cool, especially with everything going on now. There are a lot of puppies adoptions, the shelters are empty. There are a lot more pet owners now so it’s pretty cool,” said Joanne Elliott, owner of Matilda’s Dog Bakery and Boutique.

If you are looking for a special treat for your dog, Matilda’s Dog Bakery and Boutique has a wide range of tasty options including chew sticks and dog biscuits.

The shop is open Monday through Saturday.
