Duluth Lions Club 63rd Annual Pancake Day Canceled Due to COVID-19

DULUTH, Minn. – The 63rd Annual Duluth Lions Club Pancake Day has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to a recent press release, Duluth Lions Club Pancake Day Committee Chair, Lion PDG Larry Winner made the announcement Thursday that the club would be following Minnesota Department of Health guidelines which state that events with 250 or more people should not be held.

The event is traditionally held every year on the first Thursday of May but had been postponed until September 10 due to the pandemic.

The Duluth Lions Pancake Day event typically brings together over 9,000 people to help raise money for causes such as sight, hearing, diabetes, hunger, and other youth programs in the community.

Tickets purchased for the May 7, 2020 event will be accepted for next year’s event which will be held on May 6, 2021.
