Prep Soccer: Cloquet-Carlton Girls Squeak By Marshall; Hermantown Boys Victorious Over Proctor

Thursday night meant big wins for the Lumberjacks girls and Hawks boys soccer teams.

CLOQUET, Minn. – Katie Turner would score the go-ahead goal in the first half as the Cloquet-Carlton girls soccer team held on for the 2-1 win over Duluth Marshall Thursday night at Bromberg Field.

Brenna Mattson also scored for the Lumberjacks while Baamlak Haugen scored for the Hilltoppers.

In other prep soccer action, the Hermantown boys soccer team got two goals each from Evan Bjorlin and Ryan Zastrow as they topped Proctor 6-2 for their first win of the season.

Aydyn Dowd and Dylan Onofreychuk also scored for the Hawks. The Rails got goals from Jake Amendola and Vincent Verville.
