LSC Makes COVID-19 Case Numbers Public Through Database

DULUTH, Minn.- Lake Superior College is one of many Northland higher education institutions choosing to keep the public informed of its COVID-19 case numbers.

LSC along with other schools like Fond Du Lac Tribal and Community College have signed on to report case numbers to a public database.

Every Wednesday, the colleges and universities will report their status and the dashboard will be updated on the Friday of that week.

LSC staff say it is important to remain transparent during these uncertain times.

“Communication is key. We want to ensure our students, employees, our guests are safe. That also goes beyond on campus. We are a part of this community and we want to make sure the community stays safe too,” said Daniel Fanning, vice president of external relations at LSC.

Only three cases, including two employees and one student, have been reported for LSC since August 26th.

No cases have been reported at Fond Du Lac Tribal and Community College.
