BoomTown to Open in Northland in 2021

The owners of BoomTown Woodfire Bar and Grill on the Iron Range will be setting up shop next year in Duluth.

DULUTH, Minn. – The owners of BoomTown Woodfire Bar and Grill on the Iron Range will be setting up shop next year in Duluth.

The plans are in the works to open at the old Sunset Bar and Grill on Martin Road in January of 2021.

The co-owners had purchased the bar and grill with the hopes of opening in the spring of 2020 but the pandemic put a hold on their plans.

“Trying to open a restaurant during this situation when there’s restaurants all over closing and there’s a lot of mandates being put on us as business owners that I just don’t think it’s going to be easy for us to open up,” said Erik Lietz, the co-owner of BoomTown Woodfire Bar and Grill.

BoomTown management added they have no plans to keep the ball fields open that were originally at the Sunset Bar and Grill.
