Snowboards and Skiers Out Hiking Chester Bowl

Accumulations of several inches were enough for winter lovers to hike up the hill at the park and show off their skills coming back down.

DULUTH, Minn. – Down by the shore of Lake Superior warmer air prevented snow from accumulating, but just a mile up the hill, it was a much different, and snowy scene on Thursday.

Snowboarders, skiers, and families were taking advantage of the early fall snow wonderland up at Chester Bowl.

Accumulations of several inches were enough for winter lovers to hike up the hill at the park and show off their skills coming back down.

Some boarders said they remember other snowy autumns and they are excited for the early powder.

“This place is always fun because they always let people move around the terrain park features set up all the tubes and rails as long as it gets cleaned up,” says George Ilstrup.

It’s looking very pretty right here now actually this is a perfect amount of snow should be here for the rest of the season let’s hope,” says Hunter Fuhol.
