Chester Bowl Hosting Virtual Skis, Suds, Slices Fundraiser to Benefit Northland Youth
The Virtual Fundraiser is Happening Friday, Nov. 13
DULUTH, Minn. – Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Chester Bowl Improvement Club is hosting Skis, Suds, & Slices, their annual fundraiser benefitting their scholarship fund, on Friday, Nov. 13.
“Chester Bowl’s mission is to provide recreational opportunities to all Chester Bowl Park users, with an emphasis on family activities that are affordable to everyone,” said Dave Schaeffer, Executive Director of Chester Bowl. “Because they are committed to enabling any family to participate regardless of income, partial or full scholarships are awarded upon request to any family that needs one.”
In 2019, over $28,000 was provided in scholarships to the winter ski and snowboard program participants, with an additional $8,000 awarded on average to summer camp participants!
People can participate through bidding on silent auction items, buying raffle tickets, supporting Chester Bowl through purchases at partner businesses, and by making donations.
In addition, purchasing an event ticket gives access to a livestream featuring music recorded exclusively for this program by Black River Revue and Breanne Marie and the Front Porch Sinners, a vote in the Twin Ports Best Pizza competition, one raffle entry, and post-event deals at participating restaurants and breweries.
