Handcrafted Po’ Boy Sandwiches From Gumbo Boi

Cooking Connection: Blackened Chicken, Shrimp Po' Boy Sandwiches

DULUTH, Minn. – Northlanders with a craving for Cajun cuisine now have a weekly option in Duluth.

Robert Lee, also known as Gumbo Boi, is a Louisiana native turned Duluthian, and is now cooking up his favorite recipes for all to enjoy.

He recently started serving sandwich options every Monday.

You’re encouraged to order ahead of time online to make sure you get your order before it’s sold out.

After you order, you will pick a time slot for pick up that you think you will come:

Fridays between 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Mondays between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. or between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

In this week’s Cooking Connection, Lee prepares his handcrafted blackened shrimp and chicken Po’ boy sandwiches.

Instead of using the classic mayo on the sandwich, Lee has created his own remoulade sauce. (It’s delicious!)
