SUPERIOR, Wis. – With the inauguration of President Biden, history was made in several ways.

A professor over at UWS says she saw a somewhat peaceful transition to Biden, hopefully bringing the country together under a spirit of unity, especially in light of the events that happened at the Capitol.

“I think it demonstrates for one that we, despite all of the chaos and the craziness of what has happened, that we did have a successful and at least as of today, somewhat peaceful transition of power,” said Alisa Von Hagel, an associate professor of political science at the University of Wisconsin Superior.

Professor Von Hagel also talked about how this marks a turning point with policies, specifically with things like climate change and immigration reform.
